Where We Are

Uganda is an east African country bordering Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, and Congo.  It is known as the "pearl of Africa" due to its beauty, biodiversity, and lush landscape.  Geographically landlocked, Uganda serves as a bridge between the east African savannah and the west African jungle.  English is the national language while other tribal languages are also spoken.

The town of Jinja is the second largest, just two hours east of the capital city of Kampala.  Situated on the Northern shore of Lake Victoria, Jinja is well-known as the source of the Nile River.  Children of Grace is based in Jinja and serves children both from within the city and the surrounding villages.
